Here are examples of the most common retouching requirements
On the right, the 'rescue' of a shot taken inside a museum, where low levels of mixed lighting, cluttered background and lack of tripod, can be major issues.

Above and below are examples a general 'cleaning up'. Rubbish has been removed, and other details that clutter the location have been taken away.

The image below is a case of 'moving' people around. This process commands a lot of respect from the subjects, as they know I have the power to put them anywhere I choose!
On the right, the main pastime for me, removing people. This also shows the process of combining images to fit a requirement. Very useful in brochure work when a certain space needs to be filled, and it's not practical to go back and re-shoot.
Below, an example of restoration. Old photographs can have a new lease of life. No more creases, scratches, stains and tears. Favourite Aunties can be added, and not so favourite, taken away.
On the right, there has been extensive work. The background has been extended and cleaned up removing splashes and marks.
The glass has been shortened and a slice of lemon, ice and mint has been added. To bring it to life, extra zing and sparkle has been applied to the glass.
